Future PlansMr. Manikumar's vision was to set up a one stop centre for the children. As the existing house is too small to provide sufficiently for all the children, he had started negotiations with neighbours to acquire neighbouring properties. His vision was to acquire all the houses from numbers 4 - 10 and to provide integrated services at the combined premises. Facilities at the new premises:- - Separate rooms for physio, occupational, massage & speech therapy
- Music Room for music therapy
- Conference room
- Office for administration
- Medical Room - in-house clinic
- Religious Room - Quran Class etc
- Canteen
- Workshop (vocational training) carpentry, land-scalping and other handicrafts
Urgent Needs Over and above the normal operating expenses, the Pusat needs funds to purchase an additional van and employ an additional driver. With about 60 residents to transport to school /training, one van and one driver are grossly insufficient. The renovation of the 2 new premises will cost at least RM 250,000.00 The Pusat needs Volunteers The Pusat encourages volunteers to spend time with the children. The Pusat can provide food, shelter and education. But when it comes to tender loving care, there is only so much that the 22 staff can give. Be a volunteer and shower the children with love. The smiles of the children will gladden any heart Quote: "By assisting the disabled, you shall be rewarded many fold!" |
